SOP for Supervisor

Who is the exam supervisor: In the BC/BF examination conducted at CSC exam centers, the supervisors are designated by the center-in-charge.

1. Pre-Exam Responsibilities:

  • Must be registered in the portal with name, mobile number, and photograph.

  • Undergo training on exam protocols: login, photo verification, candidate validation.

  • Carry out final system check (power, internet, software).

  • Ensure the availability of emergency contacts.

  • The Supervisor assigned to an exam center should belong to the same district where the center is located.

  • The Supervisor should also be a registered CSC operator on DSP portal under the same center owner.

  • Supervisors must not interfere or intervene in the system’s technical operations during examinations.

2. During Examination:

  • Be physically present throughout the exam session (only one supervisor per session).

  • Verify candidate identity using:

    • Admit card (Member No./Reg No., photo and password).

    • Live photo verification vs. ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Voter ID, or DL).

  • Upload own live photograph with geo-tagging to match with registered photo.

  • Ensure candidates use only the designated “Take Test” button during the session.

  • Maintain discipline: ensure silence and prevent unauthorized persons in the hall.

  • Respond promptly to messages from remote proctors.

3. Exam Integrity and Compliance:

  • Report suspicious behavior or violations.

  • Ensure no materials or assistance is provided to candidates.

  • Keep all exam data and activities confidential.

4. Post-Exam Duties:

  • Review provisional results displayed post-exam.

  • Provide valid justification for any disruption (power/internet) via email: iibfexam@cscacademy.org and arunpratap.jadaun@csc.gov.in.

1. Pre-Exam Requirements

  • Arrive at the exam center at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time.

  • Session timings: 10:00 AM, 12:30 PM, and 3:00 PM. (As mentioned in admit card)

  • Carry a printed copy of the Admit Letter along with a valid Membership Identity Card or any other valid photo ID such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, or Passport.

  • Without the printed Admit Letter and original Photo ID, entry will be denied.

  • The Admit Letter is valid only for the specific exam, date(s), and venue mentioned.

  • No facility will be provided for the safekeeping of personal belongings like mobile phones, bags, or electronic gadgets.

2. On Exam Day

  • Click the Take Test’ button only on the scheduled date/time.

  • Enter CSC ID, Ko-ID, Bank name, and PAN (as applicable).

  • Complete live photo verification at the center.

  • Follow supervisor’s instructions and remain seated silently during the exam.

3. During Examination

  • Do not use prohibited materials or devices.

  • Mobile phones and other electronic/smart gadgets (except permissible calculators) are strictly prohibited in the exam hall.

  • Possession of such devices, even if switched off or on silent, will be treated as using unfair means.

  • Exam duration: 2 hours (Advance Certification) or 1 hour (Basic Certification).

  • Number of questions: 100 or 50 (MCQ format). Passing marks: 50%.

  • No negative marking.

4. Post-Exam

  • View the provisional scorecard immediately after submission.

  • Final certification will be issued separately by IIBF.

  • Do not disclose or share exam content.

5. In Case of Disruption

  • Inform the supervisor immediately in case of technical issues.

  • The supervisor will report the matter and request rescheduling if approved.

  • Follow instructions provided by the exam authority.

6. Rules and Penalties for Misconduct / Unfair Practices

  • Arrive at the exam venue at least 30 minutes before the start.

  • No entry will be allowed 15 minutes after the exam start time; no exit in the first 30 minutes.

  • Log in only with the password mentioned in the Admit Letter; do not share it.

  • Sign the Attendance Sheet as instructed.

  • Follow all instructions from the exam authority and adhere to rules.

  • Leaving the computer to visit the washroom is not allowed; no re-login permitted.

  • Do not bring/use books, notes, or unauthorized reference materials.

  • Maintain silence; no communication with other candidates.

  • Copying or helping others to copy will result in strict action.

  • Impersonation is prohibited and will lead to disqualification.

  • Misbehavior with exam authorities will lead to disqualification.

  • Return all rough work papers to the invigilator after the exam.

  • In case of power failure, wait for resolution or follow relocation instructions.

  • Results will be available on the Institute’s website; no printed copies will be issued.

  • Violation of rules or misuse of the Admit Letter will be treated as serious misconduct and may lead to action as per exam rules, including reporting to the employer.

Who is VLE: A CSC Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) running an IIBF BC/BF exam center is a certified VLE who is authorized by CSC-SPV and IIBF to conduct BC/BF certification exams under the CSC SPV.

1. Pre-Examination Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the exam center has at least 5 functional computers with:

    • High-speed internet (≥1 Mbps)

    • Functional webcams

    • Windows 10 Operating System

    • CSC Secure Exam Browser installed on each system

  • Arrange 2 to 5 supervisors, but ensure only one is active at a time.

  • Verify the complete setup and IT readiness, including power and internet backup.

  • Allocate sessions: 10 AM–12PM, 12:30 PM 2:30 PM, and 3 PM-5 PM.

2. Portal Login & Access:

  • Login to the backend portal at https://iibf.cscexams.in/backend/web using CSC ID and registered mobile number.

  • Change the default password regularly.

  • Enter OTP received on the DSP registered mobile for access.

  • The center operator captures the geo-location by uploading a geo-tagged image/video on the portal.

3. Infrastructure Compliance:

  • Kindly ensure that no Banking Correspondent (BC) activities are undertaken simultaneously while operating the exam center.

  • Maintain a clean center with:

    • Functional printer

    • Accessible washroom

    • Arrangements for PWD candidates, if applicable (wheelchairs, ramps, etc.)

4. General Duties:

  • Coordinate with supervisors and provide support.

  • Examinations must be conducted strictly within the scheduled center location.

  • The Supervisor assigned to an exam center should belong to the same district where the center is located.

  • The Supervisor should also be a registered CSC operator on DSP portal under the same center owner.

  • Supervisors must not interfere or intervene in the system’s technical operations during examinations.

  • Monitor candidates during the exam to prevent malpractices (often with a supervisor).

  • Address and escalate any IT or administrative issues.

  • Maintain exam integrity as per SOPs.

  • Ensure all guidelines by CSC and IIBF are followed.
