Arunachal Pradesh Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Swavalamban Yojana (DDUSY)

Many young people in Arunachal Pradesh have business ideas but cannot raise the capital to start. The Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Swavalamban Yojana (DDUSY) is a startup loan and subsidy scheme of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh that promotes self-reliance among unemployed youth. It was announced in the March 2017 Budget speech and notified on 16 May 2017, and the current published guidelines were issued on 17 September 2018. The Department of Finance, Planning & Investment implements it through a district-level selection process.

Latest Update

According to the FY 2026-27 Budget Speech, the scheme has enabled 2,380 youth and women to secure funding of more than ₹425 crore. The budget proposes ₹200 crore to support 2,500 more beneficiaries in FY 2026-27, along with a fresh third-party evaluation, wider sector coverage, and extra credit support for top-performing beneficiaries.

  • Repayment up to 7 years, including a moratorium of up to 6 months
