Rajasthan Mukhyamantri Aashrit Sewa Yojana: Government Services Delivered to Your Door

For a person who is elderly, disabled or recently widowed, even a simple certificate can mean several trips to an office, long queues and a lot of paperwork. The Rajasthan Mukhyamantri Aashrit Sewa Yojana (MMASY) takes the process to the home instead. A trained service facilitator visits, checks the documents, files the application, and later brings the finished certificate back to your door.

It is a service, not a payment

MMASY does not pay any cash, subsidy or DBT amount. It only helps people reach services and entitlements that exist under other government schemes. The Department of Information Technology and Communication runs it, and it was announced in the State Budget for 2022-23.

Who it is for

The scheme proactively reaches families that include:

  1. A person with a disability
  2. A widow
  3. Elderly members
  4. Silicosis patients, who are also listed among the target beneficiaries

The family must be a permanent resident of Rajasthan. There is no application deadline, since this is an ongoing service.

Services you can request

The portal currently lists:

  1. Caste certificates
  2. Bonafide Certificate
  3. EWS Income and Asset Certificates
  4. Yearly verification of RajSSP pensioners

The source says these are the services “currently listed”, so the list may grow. If you need a different service, call 181 and ask.

How it works

  1. You book a request.
  2. A service facilitator visits your home at the time you choose, checks the required documents and scans them on the spot.
  3. Within 24 hours of collecting the documents, the facilitator submits your application for the selected service on the e-Mitra platform.
  4. You receive SMS updates and can track the request with a unique service request number.
  5. Once the department approves it, the facilitator delivers the certificate or document to your home. For digitally signed certificates, the facilitator downloads the approved certificate, prints it on government-approved pre-printed stationery, and hands it to you.

You do not need to visit an e-Mitra centre.

How to book

Option 1: call 181 (toll-free).

  1. Tell the call centre which service you need.
  2. You get an SMS with your service request number.
  3. Share your preferred time slot for the visit.
  4. The facilitator comes, checks and scans your documents, and the rest follows as above.

Option 2: book online.

  1. Visit the official MMASY portal and click Book Appointment.
  2. On the Citizen Request page, enter your Jan Aadhaar ID and mobile number.
  3. Choose the service you need, submit the request, and save the service request number.
  4. The facilitator visits at your preferred time and carries on from there.

Documents to keep ready

There is no single list, because documents depend on the service. Keep your Jan Aadhaar ID and mobile number handy, along with the original documents for the service you want, such as proof for a caste certificate or an EWS certificate, or your pension details for RajSSP verification. The facilitator checks and scans them at your home.

How to check your status

Visit mmasy.rajasthan.gov.in, click Track Application Status, enter your service request number and view the current status.

Questions the source leaves open

It lists a question about what details are needed to book online, which the booking steps answer: your Jan Aadhaar ID and mobile number. It does not give a fee, so ask when you book whether any charge applies. It also does not say what happens if a department rejects the application, so ask the helpline if that occurs.

Other Rajasthan schemes for the same families

The source mentions two related schemes. The Vidhwa/Parityakta Mukhyamantri Sambal Yojana reimburses ₹9,000 for D.El.Ed. and the full fee for B.Ed. for widows and deserted women, and the Chief Minister Old Age Pension Scheme gives a monthly pension to eligible elderly people.
