Madhya Pradesh Shiksha Ghar Yojana: A Second Chance to Finish Class 10 or Class 12

Many young people in Madhya Pradesh leave school because of money problems, family circumstances or other reasons. The state’s Shiksha Ghar Yojana aims to bring them back, giving dropouts a chance to resume their studies and pass the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations through the state open school board.

Details are still limited. The scheme received in-principle approval in May 2026. The government hasn’t issued detailed eligibility guidelines, an age limit, a document list or a last date. Check the official portals before you act.

What is the scheme?

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav gave in-principle approval on 21 May 2026, during a review meeting of the School Education Department. The Chief Minister said students who discontinued their High School or Higher Secondary education for any reason would get an opportunity to resume their studies and appear for and pass the board exams.

The Madhya Pradesh State Open School Education Board (MPSOS) is responsible for implementing it. MPSOS is an autonomous institution associated with the School Education Department, set up to provide alternative education in the state. The School Education Department was directed to prepare to implement the scheme from the current academic session.
