Rajasthan Devnarayan Scooty Scheme: A Free Scooty or Up to ₹20,000 a Year for MBC Girl Students

Travel and tuition costs push many girls out of higher education. Rajasthan’s Devnarayan Chatra Scooty Distribution and Incentive Scheme gives eligible Most Backward Class (MBC) girl students a free scooty, delivered as an e-RUPI voucher. Those who don’t make the scooty merit list can get an annual cash incentive instead.

Applications are open until 30 November 2026. The 2026-27 window opened on 1 October 2026, which leaves about three weeks from today (8 November). Apply through the Rajasthan SSO portal, and make sure the mobile number on your Jan Aadhaar is correct, because the e-RUPI voucher is sent there.

What is the scheme?

The Rajasthan Government launched it in 2018 to reduce transport and financial barriers for MBC girls in higher education. The Commissionerate, College Education Department, is the nodal agency. Selection for the scooty is through a merit list based on Class 12 marks. For 2025-26, the department’s notification says 29,419 students were selected in the combined final merit lists of the Devnarayan and Kali Bai Bheel scooty schemes.
