What Is the Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojana?
The scheme gives eligible women direct monthly financial assistance through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). It was announced in the State Budget presentation on 8 March 2026, International Women’s Day, and is implemented by the Department of Social Security and Women & Child Development, Punjab. Registration began on 15 April 2026 in selected Assembly constituencies and was later extended across the state.
