Haryana Saksham Yuva Scheme: Unemployment Allowance, Honorary Work, and Skill Training for Educated Youth

Allowance amounts, eligibility, mandatory conditions, documents, and the step-by-step registration process.

A degree does not always lead straight to a job. The Haryana Government’s Saksham Yuva Scheme, launched in 2016, supports educated unemployed youth with a monthly allowance and also gives them a chance to gain work experience and skills. This post explains what you can receive, who qualifies, and how to register on the portal.

What Is the Haryana Saksham Yuva Scheme?

Saksham Yuva is an employment and financial assistance scheme run by the Department of Employment, Haryana. It offers three things to eligible 10+2, graduate, and postgraduate candidates:

  • A monthly unemployment allowance based on your qualification.
  • Honorary work assignments in government departments, with an honorarium for completing 100 hours a month.
  • Free skill training for beneficiaries who are not immediately assigned honorary work.

A note on names: this scheme is separate from the Haryana Unemployment Allowance Scheme, which gives allowance only, and from the Haryana IT Saksham Yuva Scheme, an IT-sector scheme with its own higher rates. Do not confuse them.
