Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Higher Education Promotion Scheme
Many talented students from low-income families clear entrance exams for IIT, AIIMS, IIM, or NLU, but cannot arrange money for travel, clothing, accommodation, and first-instalment fees when they join, and some lose their seats. The Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Higher Education Promotion Scheme (Mukhyamantri Uchch Shiksha Protsahan Chhatravritti Yojana), run by the Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department, gives meritorious SC, ST, and OBC students up to ₹50,000 per year to cover these early admission-stage costs.
Latest Update
Applications for the 2026-27 session were invited with a last date of 30 October 2026. That date has now passed, and applications received after the last date are not accepted. No extension appears in the scheme information. Check the department’s official website for any new notice.
Key Benefits
- Lump sum of up to ₹50,000 per year, based on actual need at the time of admission
